From US 169 and I-90, just north of Blue Earth, travel west on I-90 for 17.0 miles to Exit 102 (Hwy. 15). Travel south on Hwy. 15 for approximately 12.0 miles to Co. Rd. 41, just north of the Iowa state line. Turn right onto Co. Rd. 41 and travel northwest 0.3 miles to Klessig County Park on Iowa Lake on your left. There is a parking area near the boat launch.

TIMBERLANE COUNTY PARK
Martin County (50 acres).
Habitat: woods, thickets, and lake.

Continue north 0.7 miles on Co. Rd. 41 to Cottonwood Road. (Co. Rd. 41 turns north after Klessig State Park.) Turn left on Cottonwood and travel 0.3 miles to a pull off on your right. There is good birding habitat on both sides of the road. You can hike into the wooded area along an old road on your left.


CEDAR CREEK PARK

Retrace your steps to Co. Rd. 41. Turn left and travel north approximately 6.0 miles to Co. Rd. 20. Turn left on Co. Rd. 20 and travel west 1.5 miles (past the south end of Amber Lake) to a county park sign. Turn right and drive through a residential area to the end of the road and the park.

PERCH LAKE COUNTY PARK

Retrace your steps to Co. Rd. 20 and turn right. It is a short distance to a “T” in the road at Co. Rd. 39. Turn right on Co. Rd. 39 and travel north about 15.0 miles to Co. Rd. 50. Turn right on Co. Rd. 50 and travel east approximately 1.0 mile to a township road. On the north side of Co. Rd. 50 is Perch Creek Wildlife Management Area. Turn right and travel south on the township road approximately 1.5 miles to the entrance to the park on your right. Another portion of the wildlife management area lies on the north end of Perch Lake. (Note: At this point, you could travel north to explore the Watonwan River Region by returning to Co. Rd. 50 and turning right. Travel east 2.0 miles to Hwy. 15. Turn left on Hwy. 15 and travel north about 17.0 miles to the town of Madelia, or you could continue this loop.)

CEDAR LAKE COUNTY PARK AND HANSON MEMORIAL PARK

Retrace your steps to Co. Rd. 50 and turn left. Travel west on Co. Rd. 50 for approximately 12.0 miles to its intersection with Hwy. 4. Continue west on a gravel road (Co. Rd. 150) for another 0.5 miles to 80th Street. Turn left on 80th Street and travel south 1.5 miles to 215th Street. Turn right on 215th Street and travel 1.0 mile to the two parks, which are adjacent to each other. To return to I-90, retrace your steps to Hwy. 4. Turn right on Hwy. 4 and travel south approximately 10.5 miles to Co. Rd. 28 on the north side of the City of Sherburn just before you reach I-90. Turn left onto Co. Rd. 28 and travel approximately 1.5 miles to the entrance to a power plant. Turn left here and travel north a short distance to a parking area on your right where you can scope Fox Lake from its south side. There are also two public access points at the far east end of the lake. To return to the starting point of this loop, backtrack to Hwy. 4, turn left to enter I-90. Travel east on I-90 for 22 miles to Exit 119 for Blue Earth.
