Birding Trail Regions and Loops
Overview
Below
are the regions and loops that comprise the Minnesota River Valley Birding
Trail. Some regions are subdivided into two loops. These have a "Regional
Overview" that contains a map and written description of the region.
The loop page contains more detailed maps and the sites. Regions with
only one loop have the overview and sites on the same page. Sites that
are marked on the maps, may be worth a little longer stay that sites
that are only described, but not mapped.
Maps are best view with a screen resolution
of at least 600X800 with the full screen available. When printing, use
"Landscape" rather than "Portrait."
New feature: on overview maps, click on site to go to "Loop"
map. On Loop map, click on site to go to text about site.
*To change screen resolution in Windows, press in
succession Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display. At Display click
the tab that says Settings. In the "screen settings" box there
will be a tab that allows you to expand or shrink your screen settings.
A screen setting of at least 800 X 600 is preferable for viewing these
pages. On Macs open the monitor control strip and this will show the
screen resolution options available.
To print pages to "Landscape" in Netscape,
press in succession Print, Properties, Basics. At Basics, go to the
Orientation section, click Landscape. then print. In Explorer, press
Print, then Basics, and in the Orientation section, click "Landscape."
