The Minnesota River Valley Birding Trail
The Minnesota River Valley Birding Trail spans the Minnesota River watershed from its headwaters near the South Dakota border to its confluence with the Mississippi River in the Twin Cities. It promotes the beauty, wildlife, natural habitats, and recreational opportunities of this unique region.
Using existing roads and facilities, the Birding Trail connects the best birding sites in the Minnesota River Valley basin. The Birding Trail serves to make birding more accessible, convenient, and educational for you. We also hope the impressive sites featured in this Birding Trail will provide a basis for future conservation work to protect and restore important wildlife habitats in the Minnesota River watershed.
